Create your own media

PlaceStories Training Workshop

 

The Tasmanian Landcare Association (TLCA) with support from NRM North and Feral Arts is hosting a two–day digital media workshop for community landcarers. Learn how to create digital stories and digital postcards to report and present your Landcare projects using the PlaceStories system.

 

This is a hands-on workshop for people interested in creating and publishing your own media.

When: Saturday & Sunday 21-22 August

Where: NRM North, Level 2, McKenzie Building, 63–65 Cameron Street, Launceston

What to Bring: A PC laptop. 30–40 digital images and a 250 word script of a Landcare project /issue you are working on. Lunch, morning/afternoon tea and training materials provided.

Cost: Free – thanks to NRM North & Feral Arts

Understorey Network Seed Saving Workshops - Learn how to sort and save the seeds from Tasmanian native plants No prior skill necessary.

Essential Governance Workshop - By popular demand, a practical, two-day workshop is being offered to increase your confidence, competence and professionalism and enable you to participate more effectively as a member of a not-for-profit community board or committee of management, and to enhance your understanding of your role, rights and responsibilities. This workshop is funded by Skills Tasmania and supported by Tasmanian Polytechnic, Women Tasmania and Self Help Workplace.

When: Two days in August and September

Where: Smithon, Devonport, Launceston, Hobart, Huonville
