Want to lend an Extra Hand?

Have fun, learn new skills, meet new people and make a difference by becoming an Extra Hand Volunteer.

Individuals, families, groups of friends...Extra Hand Volunteers all have one thing in common -
they want to make a difference to Tasmania’s land, water, air and coastline.

Subscribe as a volunteer and you'll receive notification of events that match your interests.
You choose whether you can attend.

Volunteering when you want, where you want and what YOU want to do.

COMMUNITY GROUPS

Do you belong to a community group or club that doesn't normally do volunteer work in the outdoors or for the environment
(e.g. a book, rotary, parents, chess or school group)? Yes...

Why not try something new to invigorate your group. Affiliate with the Extra Hands Program and your group will have
an opportunity to make a real difference to the management of Tasmania’s natural resources and enjoy a fun day out.

EXTRA HANDS GROUPS

Would you like to be more in control of your environmental volunteer work without the administrative hassle? Yes...

Why not think about forming an Extra Hands Volunteer group. Extra Hands volunteer groups are made up of at least 5 Individual Extra Hand Volunteer Subscribers who are all interested in volunteering at a particular place or for a particular issue or concern. Extra Hands Groups decide their own name, their own work plan and can apply for external funds and sponsorships to assist with on ground works. Need more information to make a decision?
