Looking for and extra hand or two...
Do you have on-ground landcare works to do, but just can’t find
the time?
Are
you a farmer that just needs an extra hand to fix that creek or eroded
gully?
Do
you need help writing a funding submission?
If you answered yes to any of
these questions then why not become a Host with the extra hands Volunteer
Program.
extra hand Hosts can be individuals, organisations or groups of people
(community 'care' groups), who all have two
things in common -
- They need help to advance sustainable land management.
- They occasionally need volunteers to assist them.

Once you've been accepted, extra
hands provides a safe and simple way for Hosts to access volunteers.
Participating is easy.
Just follow the steps below:
Step 1 
Each time you need volunteers,
simply complete an Event Call Up* – Submitted 6 weeks in advance
of your upcoming event it tells us about the support you need for the
day helping us decide what sort of volunteers to invite. Covering the
details of the day, any potential risks to your volunteers the Event Call
Up prompts you to consider how to keep your volunteers safe.
Step 2 
Wait for your Event to be authorised
by the Extra Hands Office and an invitation sent to Volunteers. Before
you know it, the RSVP's will be rolling in.
Step 3 
Have a great day and meet new
people while getting the work done. When it’s over, return your
attendance list and any feedback to the office
*Already have upcoming event
dates and details planned ahead?
If so, you’re welcome to submit them all at one time for early authorisation
and placement on our on-line calendar.

Hands Host Subscription form – it tells us a bit about you and your
needs and is completed when you first join and updated annually.
